He is empowered by Satan and will be accompanied by another world figure known as the False Prophet. The people left behind in that time will also be easily led astray by a world leader that the Bible reveals as the Antichrist. They will be breaking into homes looking for shelter, food, clothing, weapons, ammunition, and some will even be looking to do harm. The conditions on earth will be worse than they have ever been. Planes will fall from the sky, vehicles will suddenly be unmanned, and crime will run rampant. Because of the suppression of the Holy Spirit, the world will be in complete disarray. Once the rapture takes place, most of the world will be left behind to face the wrath of God, not to mention severe persecution by the Antichrist and False Prophet. This means that Jesus will come to get His Church before the events of the Tribulation take place that are written about by John, in the book of Revelation. There are many views on the timing of this event, but the Bible seems to support a Pre-Tribulational view. The Bible tells us about an event known as the Rapture of the Church.
